KPCC decided record number of claims
During its 8th session (25-29th August 2008), the Kosovo Property Claims Commission (KPCC) decided some 2,946 claims. This is the highest number of claims decided during one session since the KPCC was inaugurated in June 2007. After the 8th KPCC-session a total of some 14,088 out of the total number of 39,818 property claims submitted to the Kosovo Property Agency (KPA) so far have been adjudicated. This high number of cases, shows an increased dynamics of the work at KPA in resolving, within an optimal time frame and professionally, all remaining claims for private immovable property, arising from the armed conflict during the period 1998-1999.
As usual, during the work at KPA, there is an overall mobilization and commitment in fulfilling of the Agency’s mandate. It is expected that KPCC, which was established in June 2007, will complete its work in adjudicating all property claims submitted to KPA at the beginning of 2010. The next KPCC session will be held in October. In the table below you can find the figures related to the resolved claims for each KPCC session, from the very beginning until now.
