Norwegian Government continues supporting
Kosovo Property Agency

The Norwegian Government pledged further funding to the  Kosovo Property Agency (KPA) in the amount of NOK3,421,702 equivalent to €444,377 to support the KPA’s  mandate for resolution of conflict related property disputes regarding private  immovable property including agricultural and commercial property. Such  contribution is provided within the framework of the technical and financial  cooperation and humanitarian aid of the Norwegian Government for the benefit of Kosovo, which foresees the improvement of the rule of law.

This donation was officially allocated on Friday, 9th of December 2011 and will be utilised  during 2012.

With this donation both  parties agreed that support to the KPA is a fundamental prerequisite for  establishing law and order, promoting modern and functional public services, and  for supporting the property right of the citizens of Kosovo.

In addition to the  above financial contribution, the Norwegian Mapping and Cadastre Authority - Statens Kartverk has also donated four new GPS devices which will be used by the KPA during its operational activities across Kosovo.

The KPA is grateful for the continued support from the Government  of Norway for the fulfillment of its mandate.
